Crossview EFCA

Worship Pastor Job Description

Crossview is a congregationally governed church with people from all walks of life.  We are a part of the Evangelical Free Churches of America.

We believe that Jesus, being fully God and fully human, reveals the heart of God for us.  He is the ultimate example of what it means to be human, and through His life, death, and resurrection, He has made a way for us to follow Him into that life. As we follow Jesus together, we will continue to become the kind of church family that enters into the brokenness of this world with redemptive hope and love. We invite you to join us on this journey!

Our desire is to serve and love those within our community – inside and outside the doors of Crossview. That passion drives us to build discipleship pathways that encourage believers and those exploring the faith to have safe and honest discussions centered around growth and fellowship.

What You’ll be Doing

In this position, you’ll be responsible for both the worship service and extended discipleship of our congregation.

Some of your duties include:

-Planning our weekly worship services in consultation with our senior pastor and leading the congregation in multi-generational and blended worship for weekly services.

-Organizing the technical operations and overall flow of our worship service.

-Scheduling teams and recruiting new volunteers to join these teams.

-Leading a team of musicians through musical and spiritual growth.

-Working with the other members of the pastoral team and elder team to establish and enhance discipleship opportunities.

-Being an active voice and contributor to strengthen and expand our Small Group ministry alongside our Adult Discipleship Team.

-Continuing a personal and professional growth track as a spiritual leader in our church.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for a skilled and passionate worship leader with a heart to lead and disciple others to join our pastoral team. As a leadership team, we’re looking for someone who operates from a lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements outlined for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9). Someone who desires to love and serve those who want to learn about the transformational power of Jesus.

An ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of leading people in worship within a church/group setting. This candidate will be a versatile musician who can lead in multiple genres and can operate at a high level. He will have Bible training/education and will be able to think theologically and missionally in ways necessary for the times we live in. Our new worship pastor should be someone who wants to grow and develop his skills as a leader and musician, while also growing in his relationship with God in a spiritual and practical way.

Benefits
